Akira Yoshizawa, the grandmaster of origami, is celebrated by the Google. The search engine marked this occasion with a special origami doodle. The Google doodle consists of a origami-style drawing, with the six letters of the word „Google” made out of coloured paper.?
Wensday, the 14th of March, marks 101 years since the birth of Akira Yoshizawa. Yoshizawa is considered to be the creator of origami and Japans most influential and prolific origami artist of the 20th century.
He invented several methods of plying the paper. According to a statement he made in 1989, Akira Yoshizawa has created more than 50,000 origami models.
